HISTORY

It is to Mr. Benson Han, a Chinese native of Hangzhou in the Zhejiang Province, that we owe the existence of Akita Food.

 

Inspired by old family recipes and culinary tradition, in 1990, he founded Akita Food, a company specialized in producing and manufacturing Asian inspired sauces. Originally active in the foodservice and private label industries in Canada and the United States, Akita began distributing retail products across America at the beginning of 2006.Today Akita manufactures and distributes more than 60 tributary products of the most diverse oriental cuisine: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Korean, Cambodian and Indian.

 

In 2005, Akita’s management was entrusted to Mr. Frank Di Blasio. The Akita Food plant is situated in Anjou, on the island of Montreal.

EFFICIENCY

Based on our business philosophy of providing high-quality products and services, our Quality Policy guides the quality assurance system and covers everything from product development to sales.

In product development, we have a system in place to conduct and manage quality assessments of ingredients and materials, production processes, packaging materials, safe logistics, and label accuracy. In particular, we ensure all local food safety and quality regulations are met and that product labels adhere to all applicable requirements. We are dedicated to constantly maintaining high quality standards in all that we do in order to provide the best possible products for our customers.
